Domenica di pulizie e assestamenti. Siamo ancora un po’ sballottati dagli ultimi eventi e stiamo riprendendo il giro. Pensavamo di salire sul Monte Pico ma la pioggia ha risposto no. Noi allora abbiamo rilanciato con una di quelle attività con cui passerei le giornate: fare la lista della cambusa avanzata. Ahhh che bel mestiere. Si svuotano tutti i gavoni, si scrive su un foglio esattamente cosa c’è e in quali quantità, poi si rimette via tutto (ordinatamente). Bellissimo. Sono un paio di giorni che ragioniamo se fare il murales sul pontile oppure no. Alla fine oggi ho visto un buco di un vecchio murales ormai sbiadito subito di fronte alla barca. Che occasione! Insieme a @renatomorello_originale (che si è fatto PROPRIO OGGI Instagram 🔥) abbiamo creato una dima di cartone con la quale fare lo stencil di Julia. Verrà un bel lavoro. The unique and intricate death customs of Tana Toraja have been celebrated for centuries, making them some of the most complex and expensive funeral traditions in the world. Before Dutch Christian Missionaries arrived, Torajans practiced Animism, the belief that non-human entities possess a spiritual essence. Despite now nominally following other religions, the Torajans still practice their ancient funeral customs which are known to be some of the most elaborate in the world. During their lives, the Torajans work extremely hard to accumulate wealth. But unlike other societies, the Tarajans do not save their money to achieve materialistic status for themselves, rather they save for a good send off in death. In fact, it is the extravagance of their funeral, which marks a family’s position in Torajan society. People will live under the same roof as a deceased family member for months or years until the money is in place to pay for their elaborate, ritual funeral. After leaving Our Dreamtime at anchor in Palopo under the watchful eyes of our buddy boaters, Daniel and Emma, we travel over treacherous roads into the highlands of Sulawesi to the town of Rante Pao in the Region of Tana Raja. We’ve sailed nearly 200 miles and spent hours driving through the mountainous jungle to attend the funeral of someone we don’t even know. Why? Because it’s Tana Toraja and not just any funeral. Το Women in Yachting Conference σχεδιάστηκε από την ONDECK Events με στόχο να γίνει ένα δυναμικό βήμα διαλόγου, έμπνευσης και συνεργασιών. Οι συζητήσεις των πάνελ, από τις πρωτοπόρες που άνοιξαν δρόμους σε έναν απαιτητικό χώρο, μέχρι τις νέες επαγγελματίες της τεχνολογίας, του σχεδιασμού και της βιωσιμότητας, ανέδειξαν τον καταλυτικό ρόλο των γυναικών στο μέλλον του κλάδου. Ένα συνέδριο που ανοίγει νέους ορίζοντες Η ONDECK Events δεσμεύεται να συνεχίσει και να επεκτείνει τον θεσμό, θέτοντας τις βάσεις για ακόμη πιο στοχευμένες δράσεις τα επόμενα χρόνια. Το Women in Yachting δεν ήταν απλώς μια ημερίδα· ήταν μια εμπειρία που άγγιξε καρδιές, ενεργοποίησε συνειδήσεις και άνοιξε νέους ορίζοντες για το μέλλον του κλάδου.
