L'Itama 70 est équipé de deux moteurs MAN V12. La version de série est dotée de deux moteurs de 1 400 ch offrant une vitesse maximale de 37 nœuds et une vitesse de croisière de 33 nœuds. En option, il est équipé de deux moteurs de 1 550 ch pour une vitesse maximale de 39 nœuds et une vitesse de croisière de 35 nœuds (données préliminaires).
