The GTR race team quickly pop out the flattening reef on the first downwind leg of the KYC Regatta as the breeze dropped out. The crew at the mast could not get the sail to drop due to the pressure in the main. A quick centre of the main took the pressure out, allowing us to unclip it before winching the sail up to full highs. The team at bottom up boats hope you are enjoying these short clips from our 2026 racing adventures.
MISCHIEF is the fabulous result of naval architect Ed Burnett and traditional boatbuilder John Raymond-Barker’s deeply informed research in creating an as near as possible replica of the 1906 Thomas Baker of Cardiff designed and built original Bristol Channel Pilot Cutter - internationally famous in the 1954 to 1968 ownership of mountaineer, explorer, voyager, and author H.W. https://www.sandemanyachtcompany.co.uk/yacht/672/MISCHIEF "Bill" Tilman. Since her 2008 launch at Bristol, MISCHIEF has been a much loved, far travelled, and well proven family cruiser in the the Mediterranean, on Spain’s Atlantic seaboard, the West Coast of Scotland, and more recently in the Westcountry of England.
