#limelight #sailingtheworld #caution Be careful at the dock in Alofi, Niue. This is a quay in the South Pacific where there is no tying up. You must get lifted out if you want to visit the island by boat. You cannot anchor out. They have 15 mooring balls available. $30 NZ per day. They can accommodate vessels up to 52 feet. if your vessel is larger than that, you can request a double block. Even your dinghy needs to be lifted out when going ashore. You can contact the Niue Yacht Club to reserve a mooring ball. +683 4224 Email: info.center@gov.nu All the local fishermen, dive groups, whale watching boats etc. all get lifted in & out each time.

Witness the sheer power of the ocean! This breathtaking shot captures a small sailboat bravely navigating a huge, towering wave. The scale of the water is absolutely immense, turning the vessel into a tiny speck battling the colossal force of nature. It's a gripping testament to both the thrill of sailing and the humbling majesty of the open sea. #ExtremeSailing #MegaWaves #HighSeas #SailingLife #NaturePower

Feather Stars are a crinoid that is typically found anchored to the bottom on coral reefs. On occasion you can find them using their feathery arms to go for a swim. This one was spotted while diving in Komodo National Park aboard All Star Aurora Liveaboard.
