When in town one must always visit the local watering holes. 🍻 Of course we had to visit Green TurtleTavern, but we noticed there was a new place across from it that wasn’t here last time we were here. We stopped at Hofbrau Amelia, an authentic German style biergarten. We got a couple mugs of hefeweizen and giant pretzel that totally spoiled our dinner but was so worth it! 🥨 . West Highland Yacht Week 2023 gave the team at Bottom Up Boats a story to tell in the bar which you could never imagine.. As the J109 Going To Red was coming into the bottom mark for the second time they had to put the bow done to avoid a dog that had jumped off the bow of the boat in front. I must admit that I would never have expected to have to worry about dodging dogs at the bottom mark of a yacht race. I guess you should never say never when you are out and about on the race course.
