Sometimes when you raise the sails, the battens get hung up on the lazy jacks. Sometimes they free themselves, sometimes, and you can drop the sail and try again. But sometimes, they have to be wiggled free manually, which is what Brent just did. Once they are free and clear of the lazy jack lines, we raise the sail again and the wind is now carrying our floating home to another island! Want the full adventure? Fortfarande lite för lite att göra på jobbet. Just nu i alla fall. Men så brukar det vara på slutet av vårterminen. Alla har bara sommarlovet i tankarna. Fritids ville har käpphästar och hinder. Ska bygga 2 hästar till och kanske nåt hinder. Hästarna ska få man och ögon. Men det får nån annan göra.

The 2021 Rolex Sydney Hobart Race started on Boxing Day, December 26th off Sydney Harbour, Australia. The 628.0nm race goes south and finishes at Hobart, Tasmania. Sweeping overall corrected time honors among the Doublehanders was Jules Hall and Jan ‘Clogs’ Scholten on the J/99 DISKO TROOPER- CONTENDER SAILCLOTH to gather the top prizes in Doublehanded IRC, ORC, and PHS Divisions. Remarkably, the J/99 DISKO TROOPER also won ORC Overall for the fleet (fully-crewed + doublehanders) by over 3 HOURS!
