Have you ever seen the Harlequin Shrimp? These shrimps only grow about 5 cm long. But don't let the size fool you, they are capable of hunting preys much bigger than them. Their favourite food are the tube feet and other soft tissues of sea stars. As you can see in this video, the struggle of both the shrimps and the sea star, an amazing encounter during our season in Thailand last year. One of our NSSC Sailability members, Jazz Turner, featured on BBC South East Today evening news on leaving Brighton Marina at the start of her epic Project FEAR ("face everything and rise") journey. She is attempting to become the first female wheelchair user to complete a solo, non-stop, unassisted circumnavigation of the UK and Ireland. Jazz is raising money for the Newhaven and Seaford Sailing Club (NSSC) Sailability fund. Hurricane Ian left a path of destruction across Cuba, Florida, and the Carolinas on October of 2022. When it swept through Daytona, it was a tropical storm for a while before again becoming a hurricane.
