When sailing through a channel that splits, knowing which way to go is critical. That’s where preferred channel markers come in. These buoys are marked with both red and green colors, with one color dominant — showing which side of the channel is preferred. 🌍 Region A: Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, the Gulf, and some Asian countries 🌏 Region B: North, Central & South America, Japan, North & South Korea, and the Philippines In Region A, “green to starboard” keeps you safe. Over a year after we first arrived in Trinidad and our live aboard yacht was hauled out, we finally took to the sea again this week! Sadly it was not in our Leopard 45 (it's still undergoing warranty), but instead in a converted Privilege catamaran owned by a Trinidadian family we'd met around the shipyard. As we sailed a pod of dolphins started jumping in the bow wake. Deb jacked in and went forward with the camera to get some pictures. I just shot a quick video of her, but caught some of the dolphins jumping also. Watch the left side of the bow pulpit.
