In the 2020-2021 edition of the Vendee Globe race, he had been first up this channel. But he officially finished second after Yannick Bestaven was awarded time credit for coming to another sailor’s aid and achieved a well-deserved victory. Today it is Charlie’s day. There is nothing anywhere in sailing like the day the first finisher crosses the line in Les Sables d’Olonne. Harken was there, At The Front…where we must be. Jag har inga problem med att såga rakt, på översidan, horisontellt. Däremot så brukar det inte bli så bra lodrätt. När det är viktigt gör jag så här. Såga först så du har ett spår. Det är viktigt så inte sågen slöas mot vinkelhaken. Alternativet är att "offra" en vinkel. Slipa då bort lite på spetsen, hörnet, på vinkeln så sågens tänder går fria. Det syns inte på klippet men snittet blev klockrent.
