There is something special about a sailing sunset. Bottom Up Boat help you remember why !! The first Wednesday night race of Strangford Lough Yacht Club 2025 season got under way in perfect sailing conditions. With 8 to 10 knots of breeze and blue skies the sailing season could not have got off to a better start. As the sunset in the west two River class yachts were locked in a tight battle. As they glided under the setting sun on a picture perfect evening of racing finished with a sailing sunset. The team at bottom up boats an excited that the 2025 season is up and running. In the final leg of the deliver of Going to Red from Kilrush to Strangford we were once again blessed with clear but cold condition, the mid afternoon kill was once again warmed up by a visit from a pod of the most majestic marine mammals. A pod of around 25 Dolphins stayed and played on the bow for over 30 minutes, you can't help but get excited by these beautiful creatures. The warned us up for the final push up into Strangford Lough. Watching this back it reminds me why we need to do more to keep our seas clean and cool, allowing these animals to live and thrive for generations to come.
