J109 Going to Red was in the presence of sailing royalty during the Offshore race at Volvo Cork Week 2024. IMP slipped by to leeward as the J109 GTR raced off to the Gybe Mark before heading into the finish line in Cork Harbour. I lost the kill cord and had to ask a friend to tow me and our guests back to Britican. That’s the fifth time in ten years that I’ve lost the kill cord. Have I learned yet?
