With over 100 boats on the start line everyone was fighting for air shortly after the start, with the tide coming in all day it paid to get right early to find both clear air and some relief from the stronger tide out in the main channel. On the way back in the trick was to find the deepest part of the channel to ensure you were in maximum tide to increase your speed over ground. Things were still tight as we made it down to the Harbour Turning mark off Cork City. Use three points touching something at all times. Two hands and a foot or 2 feet and a hand or a butt cheek, a hand and a foot. Whatever make sure three things are touching - note that two butt cheeks only count as one butt cheek. These guys did pretty well, but there still could be some improvement. Still it was fun.
