Dear Salty Sailor, Fresh water is one of the most precious resources we carry on our sailboat, and access to it can be critical in remote locations. We decided to install a water maker to ‘produce’ our own fresh water, and we couldn’t be happier. We've scheduled about a week to sail to San Diego to pick up some things that the previous owner told us he found in storage. He was kind enough to hang onto them until we could schedule time to sail down and get them.
