In May 2019, the 3rd PAPA Regatta took place for the first time in Croatia. Although the weather was unusually cool and overcast for the season, it brought steady winds — ideal conditions for competitive sailing. While there was no time for swimming, no one had to sit idle waiting for the wind either. The action never stopped. Il tempo corre con noi e noi proviamo a superarlo. Vogliamo essere all’imbocco di Gibilterra entro lunedì sera per capire il da farsi e per evitare la sventagliata che torna a soffiare da nord. Allora vela e motore, motore e vela. Ogni tanto si alza il vento e riduciamo motore, senza mai riuscire a spegnerlo. Teniamo una media di 7 nodi a 40 gradi con il vento. Chiacchiere, silenzi, riposo e lampughe insaporiscono questa veleggiata e ci portano miglio dopo miglio sempre più vicini a casa.
