One of our NSSC Sailability members, Jazz Turner, featured on BBC South East Today evening news on leaving Brighton Marina at the start of her epic Project FEAR ("face everything and rise") journey. She is attempting to become the first female wheelchair user to complete a solo, non-stop, unassisted circumnavigation of the UK and Ireland. Jazz is raising money for the Newhaven and Seaford Sailing Club (NSSC) Sailability fund. Previously I sailed with two other people and we did watches of 3 hours which gives you 6 hours off and it was very pleasant. You get enough sleep and your shifts rotate, so no one gets stuck freezing every night. My husband and I are about to do a 4-5 day sail on our own, and I want to know, what is your favourite watch schedule for 2 people? We're planning on 4 hours on, 4 hours off, unless you convince us otherwise! Also, would you do a different style of watches for 3 people crossing the Atlantic ocean? Please comment.
