Rose is learning to help out around the yacht, one job at a time! She started hovering at the top of the ladder whenever I was trying to get out so I’ve started passing her gear from the water so she can carefully grab it and set it down on the transom. She’s still figuring it out (some bites are better than others 😂), but the goal is to have her drop everything on the deck or in a bucket, maybe even working up to doing it on the tender too! Until then, she’s still earning her keep as first mate, head of security and our onboard wellness coach. Prefer to support the channel as a 1-off? We captured Wild Oats XI's first sail since her recent transformation. This was her first time on the water in preparation for her Rolex Sydney Hobart Line Honours defence. Even at a distance she looked good.

Our March 27, 2022 edition of our Cooking and Provisioning Class. The members wanted to learn how to use up leftovers on their passages. We taught them frittatas and fried rice, along with basic provisioning principles, sanitation and knife skills.
