The Double Sheet Bend is one of if not the best way to join to ropes of different diameter. You can learn how to tie a double sheet bend in less than two minutes. Here at Bottom Up Boat we prefer the Double Sheet Bend over the Single Sheet bend, the two loops around the bight give it key advantages over the single sheet bend. The two loops make the knot more secure before the knot has been put under load and easier to untie as the double loops cause the knot to tighten on the bight rather than the loop wedging itself at the top of the bend. The Bottom up Boats team recommend that you learn the single sheet bend, https://youtu.be/vKvJ3aKu43A , but always use the Double Sheet Bend as it is far superior. If the shorts version was to quick for you and you want a more detailed demo of how to tie the double sheet bend you can watch the full form version on the bottom up boats main channel. https://youtu.be/mQU20P-Idns If you like the Double Sheet Bend video you should click on the link below to watch out Know Knots playlist which has variety of knots that every sailor should know. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMoCfFBA9IMUcOoZy5QT-o66DM8uHukkH Thanks for watching our YouTube Shorts video where we teach you how to tie the double sheet bend video and for reading on to learn more, if you learnt something along the way don't forget to subscribe getting the Bell on to ensure you are notified as soon we release our new content.
For one of the biggest festivals in Europe, you can't look past the world-famous electronic fiesta, Ultra Music Festival! The Ultra Music Festival Cruise includes all of the best parts of a traditional Navigator Cruise, and stays in Split for the first two day to take in the iconic Ultra Music Festival Cruise! We'll have lunch onboard and hear a welcome speech from our representative from 1pm. The boat will stay in Split for the first night, which gives you the opportunity to explore the city and take in the Ultra Music Festival which will be taking place in Split. Day 2 Split: The ship will depart from Split after breakfast and sail across to a nearby island for swimming and boat party! Lunch will be served onboard before we return to Split to allow you to take in the final night of the Ultra Music Festival Day 3 Makarska: Next stop is Makarska, a seaside town nestled under the highest seaside peak in the Mediterranean, Mt Jure. For nightlife options, there is the cocktail bar Marineta and for late night takers there is the infamous club "Deep" a natural cave next to the sea which rocks into the wee hours. Day 4 Stari Grad: We sail to the island of Hvar on Tuesday morning. Hvar is the longest island in the Adriatic. We will moor up in the port of Stari Grad. Situated on the northern side of the island, Stari Grad is the oldest town in Croatia and boasts an attractive network of old narrow streets and small squares around the harbour. Day 5 Vis: Vis is one of the most outer islands on the Dalmatian coast. Vis has been used over the centuries as a strategic military port and saw action through WWII against Italy and the Germans. It has only recently been open to commercial tourism and still retains a lot of its charm. Day 6 Hvar: From Vis, we head towards Hvar Town. Famous for its super-yachts and celebrity status. Climb the hill to explore the 16th-century fort ruins overlooking the harbour, before checking out the famous Hvar nightlife, with clubs such as Carpe Diem and Nautica Bar. Day 7 Split: From Hvar, we sail back to Split for the last night. Enjoy the view of the Split Riviera as we arrive into Split late afternoon. Split is a city under UNESCO protection that belongs not only to Croatians, but also to you, as it is a part of its World Heritage status. Day 8 Split: Early breakfast and time to say goodbye to the crew and all your new friends! Disembark from the boat at 9am.
