With the topping lift stuck at the top of the mast and and the spare halyard need for a kit peel the only option was to go up the mast and get it. Our bowman who is never one to do things by half decided the stop off for a quick pole walk on the way down to reconnect and grab the spare halyard had the team on Redline Racing back in the game. Sailed from St, Thomas to Frederiksted... Small town on the west coast protected from the prevailing eastern winds, with Danish Colonial and Victorian architecture. We visited Fort Frederik built in 1752 by Danish monarch (occupied also by Spanish and French) and enjoyed beautiful white sandy beaches. Scuba diving with turtles in turquoise waters was fantastic...
