One of our NSSC Sailability members, Jazz Turner, featured on BBC South East Today lunchtime news on leaving Brighton Marina at the start of her epic Project FEAR ("face everything and rise") journey. She is attempting to become the first female wheelchair user to complete a solo, non-stop, unassisted circumnavigation of the UK and Ireland. Jazz is raising money for the Newhaven and Seaford Sailing Club (NSSC) Sailability fund. With the rain coming down and the tide racing up the narrows into Strangford lough the racing in race 1 of the annual narrows series was super tight at the top end of the IRC 1 fleet. The J109 Going to Red, stays in the main flow of the tide with a great leebow that allowed them to creep out to leward of both the Mata 1010 Elixir and the Elan 37 ATALANTE. The racing stayed tight across the full 3 days of racing in the annual Narrows series. The team at Bottom up Boats hope you end ejoyed this short clip from a great weekend of racing.
