The Greyhound is a typical Dykstra Naval Architects design, based on Gerry Dykstra's private Bestevaer. The aluminium hull will be build at KM Yachtbuilders over the next few months. It's being build for a Dutch family who has lots of sailing experience. In this video they are welding in the build number (098) themselves. A visible and lasting memory. Previously based in Pompano Beach, Florida, the blimp arrived in Los Angeles in September 2015 to replace the retired Spirit of America blimp at the Goodyear Airship Operations Base in Carson, Calif. It's not uncommon to see it over the southern California coastline.
