West Highland Yacht Week 2023 gave the team at Bottom Up Boats a story to tell in the bar which you could never imagine.. As the J109 Going To Red was coming into the bottom mark for the second time they had to put the bow done to avoid a dog that had jumped off the bow of the boat in front. I must admit that I would never have expected to have to worry about dodging dogs at the bottom mark of a yacht race. I guess you should never say never when you are out and about on the race course. Our First Day Sailing Our New Sailboat Sailing Our Sceptre Novice Sailing Couple Me and the Kiwi We took our new sailboat out for four hours in Anacortes, Washington. It was amazing. This is our first boat. We had a beautiful day, the sun sparkled off the water like diamonds as we glided out to sea. We felt the power of the wind in our sails---until the wind died, and we didn't! Then we ate lunch! What an incredibly inspiring day. Remember: Travel is a state of mind, not a state of finance.
