Along either side of a McConaghy Multihull are large windows that run the full length of the living area. Fully retractable, they allow the galley and lounge to be enclosed or opened to the ocean breeze at the touch of a button. With the aft glass doors also retracted, the result is an exceptionally light and open space. Once in a while, you should leave the water and explore the mountains! When we sailed along the Costa del Sol, we saw the mountains on the coastline becoming higher and higher. The Sierra Nevada in the South Spain means 'snowy mountain range' in Spanish. From our catamaran we saw the snowy peaks in the distance. In the harbor of Almerimar we rented a car for a day and had an amazing trip through the Sierra Nevada. A lot of sunshine, little white villages and always a view on the water as well. After the Alps, this is the highest mountain range in Europe, with a total of 16 peaks above 3000 meters.
