Wir bestehen historisch aus zwei Vereinen, der StSG Stuttgart und der StSG Tübingen, da es an beiden Universitäten jeweils eine Hochschulsportgruppe gab und gibt. Besonderer Schwerpunkt wird auf die Segelausbildung in Form von Theorie und Praxis gelegt. Der Verein ist Plattform für gemeinsame Segelerlebnisse und einen Erfahrungsaustausch. Ob Schnupperwochenende oder Segelausfahrt zu den norditalienischen Seen – auf dem Programm stehen viele Aktivitäten. Poco più di due giorni dalla partenza della Transpac, Maserati Multi 70 continua la sua corsa verso Honolulu sulla scia dei suoi concorrenti, Argo e PowerPlay. Navigando mure a destra, la performance del trimarano italiano è penalizzata dai danni subiti la scorsa notte: Giovanni Soldini spiega: "Senza il foil del timone sinistro è molto difficile controllare l'assetto longitudinale di Maserati Multi 70, che tende ad impennarsi per poi ricadere nell'acqua: a risentirne è ovviamente la velocità. Non vediamo l'ora di strambare!" Maserati Multi 70, agli aggiornamenti delle 3 UTC, navigava a 26 nodi di velocità, una cinquantina di miglia dietro PowerPlay, che procedeva a 28 nodi a 1253 miglia dal traguardo.
