Giorno 28 - MARSALA Ultimo giorno di Mia a bordo di Julia. Domani torneremo a Torino per fare una cosina di cui vi parleremo e lei verrà con noi. Poi, quando torneremo qui, lei rimarrà a casa. Questa gatta è stata una vera forza della natura. Ci eravamo preparati al peggio e invece ha vissuto il mese in mare come se non avesse mai fatto altro in vita sua. È stata una presenza importante a bordo. Una creatura che ha imparato a muoversi nella sua nuova tana, nonostante sia risaputo quanto i gatti siano animali abitudinari. In questi giorni i saluti sono ricorrenti e prepararci a non avere più una pallina grigia tra i piedi si preannuncia un compito difficile. Vorrei tanto potesse venire con noi. Dato che prenderemo un aereo, ci portiamo solo lo stretto indispensabile, perciò la maggior parte delle sue cose rimarrà qui, a bordo, a ricordarci che Julia ha ospitato la marinaia più dolce, coraggiosa ed eccezionale che sia mai esistita. E noi non stiamo piangendo affatto 😭

The 57th edition of BOOT Düsseldorf proved to be a truly special one for Nova Yachting. With an impressive lineup of 11 premieres and novelties, combined with two European Yacht of the Year 2026 winners, this edition stood out on every level. During the show we presented the following premieres and novelties: First 60, First 36E, Swift Trawler 37, Oceanis 47, Oceanis 52, Gran Turismo 40, Gran Turismo 50, Grand Trawler 63, Excess 13, Hallberg-Rassy 370 and Sargo 45 FLY. A highlight of the show was the international recognition for two outstanding yachts from our range. The EXCESS 13 was awarded European Yacht of the Year 2026 in the Family Cruiser category, while the Beneteau First 30 claimed the title in the Performance Cruiser category. A remarkable achievement, underlining innovation, performance and sailing pleasure across very different segments. BOOT Düsseldorf is in full swing. Glamorous conditions on Good Friday! The first day of the RORC Easter Challenge was blessed with sparkling conditions in the Solent. A light gradient breeze from the south east built during the day to over 10 knots of pressure. Brilliant sunshine throughout the day added to the superb conditions. The RORC Race Committee led by Steve Cole held a number of practice starts, followed by three short, sharp windward leeward races. The coaching team out on the water giving competitors top advice included North Sails and a RORC team run by Andrew ‘Dog’ Palfrey. After racing, competitors enjoyed a free bowl of pasta and a beer before the well-attended coaching debrief at the RORC Cowes Clubhouse. “The coaching team have one overall goal and that is to help all the teams progress at an early stage in the season.
