Great Caribbean sailing as I sail solo up the island chain in 20-25kt tradewinds during late 2019. The following year I completed my single-handed sailing circumnavigation in Fathom, my Vancouver 28. Thanks to my friends on SV Grasshopper for the footage. Check out the 2 part film about my single0handed sailing circumnavigation: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-TVP7dP56ezfWlLJSTVKhL0GkKdKIvLd My Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/thomdarcy My Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/yachtfathom My website: http://www.thomdarcy.com #sailing #sailingaroundtheworld #solosailing #solosailor #singlehandedsailing #circumnavigation
The first week for the season ending frosties regatta at SLYC was sailed under grey skies with big breeze. The crew on GTR went with a reef in the main to make the boat easier to control with the wind gusting over 20 knots. The mainsheet main and job trimmer really got in sync up the second beat which allowed the skipper to put the bow done and get the boat speed over 7 knots. The team on GTR showed the rest of the fleet a clean pair of heels to take two bullets to get off to a flying start on race day 1. The team at bottom up boats hope you are enjoying the footage from the final regatta of the 2024 sailing season.
