Why sail solo around the world, without modern technology? There are a lot of reasons. But one of them has always been bigger than sailing. I want women and girls of every age to look at adventures like this and think, why not me? Girls like my nieces. I grew up surrounded by strong women, and I know how much that shaped the person I became. I had women around me who showed me that I could figure things out, take on challenges and go after what I wanted. And I want to be that person for someone else too. Sailing is still a world where you’ll find far more men than women, especially when you get into offshore sailing and races like this one. I don’t want that to be a reason not to try. You don’t have to sail around the world. You don’t even have to sail. I just hope that somewhere, a girl sees me out here and thinks that maybe she can do the thing she’s been told isn’t really for her. Learn. Get good at it. Take up your space. Our lucky guests got to swim with a whale shark at a fishing platform (bagan) close to Triton Bay. The whale shark is attracted to the bagan by the fishermen feeding it! Dolphins came and joined in too! Filmed on board Coralia Liveaboard.

Ich hatte die Inbus/Innensechskant Schraube an einer fast unerreichbaren Stelle komplett rundgedreht und war schon dabei, den Bohrer anzusetzen. Dann kam Franks rettende Idee: Einfach einen Torx-Bit mit leichten Hammerschlägen in den ausgenudelten Innensechskant klopfen und mit der Knarre herausdrehen. In Sekunden war die Schraube draußen, wo ich mit Bohren stundenlang geflucht hätte. Manchmal ist der einfachste Trick der beste! #Segelyacht #segeln #bootsreparatur
