If you listen to the various discussions around the docks, you know that there is significant disparities among sailors concerning fixed docks and floating docks. For Toni and I, nothing beats a floating dock and we think most catamaran sailors would agree. Fixed docks required line adjustments, fender movements, and simply getting on and off the boat safely depends on the tides. However, a floating docks are a set it, and forget it. Everything moves as a whole with the tides. See why here. Feel free to comment and let us know your thoughts. Subscribe and share the adventure! Is it safe to sail in a deep canyon? Sure! If you watch the wind and weather closely, have the right equipment, and familiarize yourself with how mountainous terrain affects the wind. Also, always carry the appropriate safety gear and practice your emergency and storm skills (man overboard, hove-to, reefing, anchoring, etc.) This is me solo sailing my 2010 Precision 18 sailboat in Utah's stunning Flaming Gorge along the Green River. Subscribe and follow @ColoradoSailing on YouTube for original sailing videos, gear, sailboat maintenance, sailing tips and travel content as I sail my Precision 18 trailer sailer and Precision 16 sailing dinghy. #sailingchannel #coloradosailing #sailing #mountainsailing
