Giornata importante al cantiere Maxi Dolphin. Lo scafo in carbonio-epoxy e anima in Corecell del nuovo MD62ab, il 62 piedi (18,90 metri) progettato dall’architetto argentino Alejandro Bottino, è stato estratto dallo stampo dopo la laminazione sottovuoto e la cottura a 60° C nel forno del cantiere. Dopo l’allestimento degli interni verrà posta la coperta, anche questa in carbonio, e già realizzata, come tutti i componenti, dalle maestranze Maxi Dolphin. Consegna prevista dell’MD62ab a fine novembre 2019.

The aft cabin is one of the biggest spaces on Vela, but we still see so much potential to optimize! Here’s what we’re planning: 🛠️ Extra Storage: We’re building cabinets on each side of the bed and adding shelves inside the hanging lockers—because you can never have too much storage for clothes and gear on a boat. 💡 Desk Transformation: That “make-up table” (seriously, who uses it?) is getting a makeover! We’re turning it into a retractable desk with shelves above—perfect for working or planning our next adventures. 🌬️ Ventilating Cupboard Doors: On our nice-to-have list are ventilating doors for better airflow and to prevent condensation—practical and pretty. 💧 Watermaker Plans: We’re considering fitting the membranes for our watermaker under the bed, making good use of otherwise empty space.
