Setting sail from the Balearic Islands of Spain, our 36hr (non-stop) passage commenced to the island of Sardinia! 🇮🇹 This passage would be our longest and furthest journey away from land so far. ⛵️ We were greeted with calm winds and fair sees on this fantastic & peaceful passage. By day, glass like seas 🌊 unbeatable sunsets/sunrises ☀️ Dolphins 🐬 Sea Turtles 🐢 and Dragonflies 🐉 By night the sky was full of stars as far as the eye could see 🌌 We hope that you will follow us on insta, Facebook and YouTube - SAILING CAT KAIA With: @sailing_cat_kaia @vikaspiritualmentor @satkaratemple @byoceanandearth #sailing yacht #sailingstagram #sailingtrip #sailingaway #sailinglovers #sailinglife #sailingday #sailingboat #nightsail #sailing #sailingworld #sailingboats #sailingadventure #sailinglifestyle #sailinginstagram #sailaway #bylandandsea #travel #wanderlust #nature #adventure #boatlife #sailingday #lagoon440 #lagooncatamaran #pug #borderterrier #spain #menorca #minorca #sardinia #italy

How to tie a 🥨 Heaving Line Knot. ... This is an easy, but very useful knot for those times when you need to heave a line ashore or over to another boat. It's fun to tie and flies well. Tie it while you are chugging towards the marina and have it ready in good time. ... Use this knot to add a bit of weight to the end of your rope so it's easier to throw. Try not to hit the person on the dock who's trying to catch it! ... There are lots of variations of this such as the Monkey's Fist, but this one is my favourite for when you are short of time. It's easy to untie too, once the line is safely heaved over. ... The trick is to give yourself enough rope to work with, so make your loops a fair way down from the working end, just practice it. .....
