Hi, we're Josh and Tamara. In March 2021 we decided that we wanted to learn a new skill. So, we purchased a 2000 MacGregor 26X and thought... well let’s try out sailing! We outfitted and refurbished it for 2.5 months while we very impatiently waited for the weather to warm up so we could splash and start learning how to sail. I know what many of you are thinking. So, you just decided to purchase a sail boat, and you’re going to just figure it out as you go? Well yes and no. We had crewed on many of our friends’ boats however, we were never the captains. But for those of you who know us well know that this is what we do. We jump all in and figure it out as we go! Needless to say, we spent 65 nights on our Mac sailing Lake Okanagan, BC (135km long and 5km wide) from Vernon to Penticton and everywhere in between... many times over. We soon discovered that we wanted to do this full time. We were so exhilarated by living on the water and the overwhelming adrenaline rush you got from just wind power. So, as they say, I thing we need a bigger boat...and a much larger lake! We would like to introduce you to our new home. A 2001 Hunter 460 that we purchased in Hilton Head, SC. Η διοργάνωση τόνισε ότι η ισότητα δεν αποτελεί μόνο ηθική επιταγή, αλλά και στρατηγικό πλεονέκτημα για τις επιχειρήσεις του σήμερα. Αναδείχθηκε η ανάγκη για: πολιτικές που στηρίζουν τη γυναικεία επιχειρηματικότητα, ευκαιρίες κατάρτισης και mentoring, εργασιακά περιβάλλοντα που προάγουν τη συμπερίληψη, δίκαιη εκπροσώπηση σε ηγετικές θέσεις, ενίσχυση της ορατότητας νέων γυναικείων προτύπων. Οι συζητήσεις των πάνελ, από τις πρωτοπόρες που άνοιξαν δρόμους σε έναν απαιτητικό χώρο, μέχρι τις νέες επαγγελματίες της τεχνολογίας, του σχεδιασμού και της βιωσιμότητας, ανέδειξαν τον καταλυτικό ρόλο των γυναικών στο μέλλον του κλάδου. Ένα συνέδριο που ανοίγει νέους ορίζοντες Η ONDECK Events δεσμεύεται να συνεχίσει και να επεκτείνει τον θεσμό, θέτοντας τις βάσεις για ακόμη πιο στοχευμένες δράσεις τα επόμενα χρόνια. Το Women in Yachting δεν ήταν απλώς μια ημερίδα· ήταν μια εμπειρία που άγγιξε καρδιές, ενεργοποίησε συνειδήσεις και άνοιξε νέους ορίζοντες για το μέλλον του κλάδου.
