hello! It has been a rough few weeks onboard with working through all of the possible routes and weather windows to sail through the Bahamas during what is supposed to be a very active hurricane season. We would have been rushing through and that just seemed silly. So, we’ve come to the difficult decision that it safest for us to sail north until early fall before making our way back south. More walking along the tiny canals in Wat Tha Phra, Bangkok. As we chose to visit Thailand during the Thai New Year festivities, we were not spared the clay and water - a great tradition. It used to be a quiet and kind ritual of gently sprinkling perfumed water as a blessing, only after permission. As our host would tell us. Nowadays, water is thrown at anyone passing by with cups, water guns and buckets. Still, unique, colorful, loud and with a smile - the new Thai way.
