The Leopard 46 represents a significant evolution in cruising catamaran design, marking Leopard Catamarans' bold step into sustainable sailing technology. Building upon the successful DNA of its predecessor, the Leopard 45, this new model introduces groundbreaking innovations in propulsion technology while refining the living spaces that have made Leopard catamarans so popular among cruising sailors. ► Lagoon’s Premium division has already launched more than 50 units, testifying to customers’ enthusiasm for these very large catamarans built in small series production runs - but by a custom service - and justifying the design of even larger models… In concrete terms, it is the historic Seventy range that is being phased out to make way for the Eighty. There are few changes to the hulls, which have been slightly lengthened, but the deck layout and interior design are completely new. Aboard the Eighty 2, which we have just been taking an exclusive look at in Bordeaux, we find the famous opening in the hull topsides as first seen on the Seventy 7 - it acts as a terrace on the water in the Owner’s suite. Despite being proportionately narrower in beam than the Sixty, for example, the deck offers a flybridge of some 540 square feet (50 m²) that can be fitted out as desired, while aft, the platform connecting the sugarscoops covers 236 sq ft (22 m²)... Inside, you’ve got the choice of galley up or galley down. The Lagoon Eighty 2 will very soon be available in a power version under the name of the Eighty 3. ► TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: Builder: Lagoon Catamarans Architects: VPLP Design/Patrick Le Quément Interior design: Nauta Design Overall length: 81’11” (24.97 m) Hull length: 78’5” (23.91 m) Length at waterline: 78’3” (23.85 m) Beam: 36’1” (11 m) Draft: (1.9 m) Sail area: 3,683 sq ft (338 m²) Engines: 2 x 230 HP Fuel: 2 x 370 US Gal (2 x 1,400 l) Water: 2 x 211 US Gal (2 x 800 l) CE Certification: A14/B18/C24/D40 ► Become a FREE SUBSCRIBER to Multihulls World's YouTube page now - https://www.youtube.com/c/MultihullsWorld ► Log on to our website to discover over 600 multihulls tests! Another one of Trinidad's beautiful jungle waterfall systems, Blue Basin is only 25 minutes away from the boatyard where our Leopard 45 catamaran is undergoing repairs. The stunning natural environment, clear blue waters and little cliff jumping points make it another incredible place to go when we want to escape the yacht and recharge our minds.
