It’s a mix of emotions — most of the fleet is behind you, but three yachts are still ahead, and with the finish line fast approaching, there’s no time left to catch them. Which means no podium finish this time. It was a 15-mile offshore race from Rogoznica’s Marina Frapa to Maslenica, on the island of Šolta, Croatia. As the race unfolded, the wind intensified to over 24 knots, with gusts hitting 32. A fiberglass canopy structure for Cambridge's Kendall Square was transported via barge from Thomaston, Maine to Cambridge, MA. Here's a time-lapse from the barge on the Charles River on the last leg of the journey. The canopy is 160 feet long and was delivered in two sections.
