At the request of Her Majesty's Coastguard, where possible, during daylight hours during the summer, leisure boaters in England should avoid using VHF channel 16 for routine radio checks. Instead, call one of the 56 lookout stations of the National Coastwatch Institution on VHF Ch 65. While in Trinidad we've had people recommend a huge range of foods and local dishes to try. Over the last few weeks I've been listening to other cruisers rave about the aloo pie at the Port of Spain Central Market so today I got myself one and I'm SO glad I did! The mix of herbs, spices, potato, chickpeas and everything else stuffed inside the fried bread was delicious.
