One of our NSSC Sailability members, Jazz Turner, featured on BBC South East Today lunchtime news on leaving Brighton Marina at the start of her epic Project FEAR ("face everything and rise") journey. She is attempting to become the first female wheelchair user to complete a solo, non-stop, unassisted circumnavigation of the UK and Ireland. Jazz is raising money for the Newhaven and Seaford Sailing Club (NSSC) Sailability fund. Built in 1938 as 'C10' for the admiralty. She was renamed Destiny in 1958 and sold by the MOD in 1963. Since then she has been owned by Husbands Shipyard, Star Tugs and now owned by a South Wales Businessman, she carries his name 'Thomas'.
