A look back at the 2021 Women at the Helm regatta held at the Royal Cork YC, Crosshaven. Over 100 people took part in the one-day keelboat event, with women from 16-80+ out on the water.

Jack Roy joined the board of Irish Sailing in 2013 and was President from 2017 to 2020. During this time he led with great talent and dedication, and always with a sense of fun and humour. The extent of his influence and popularity is shown in the tributes received by Irish Sailing from people around the world who worked with him during his presidency. Jack finished his presidency during COVID lockdown when face to face celebrations were restricted, so we marked the occasion by publishing his last speech and a slideshow of his time as Irish Sailing President. The 2021 Irish Sailing All Ireland Championships took place at the Royal Cork Yacht Club in Crosshaven. The event saw 16 invited competitors from different Irish Sailing affiliated classes compete in the same boat, the National 18s, in order to find the 'champion of champions'. The 2021 All Ireland Champion was three-time Olympian Ger Owens with crew Ross Killian.
