Tschüss 2 Claims IRC Super Zero Victory at the 2025 Rolex Fastnet Race Christian Zugel’s Tschüss 2 (USA70000), co-skippered by Johnny Mordaunt, has taken the win in the highly competitive IRC Super Zero division at the centenary edition of the Rolex Fastnet Race. The VO70 completed the iconic offshore course in an elapsed time of 2 days, 17 hours, and 21 minutes, crossing the finish line off Cherbourg at 05:11 BST on 29 July 2025. With a TCC of 1.617, Tschüss 2 corrected out to a final time of 4 days, 9 hours, and 40 minutes — edging ahead of high-calibre rivals including Roy Disney’s Pyewacket 70 and the 30m Leopard 3, skippered by Chris Sherlock. The win caps off an outstanding season for the former Groupama 4 VO70, originally skippered by Franck Cammas in the Volvo Ocean Race. The sail from George Town to Black Point was awesome. The last hour, a squall came through shifting the wind around to the nose. We had purposely gone this far, missing Staniel Cay, so that we'd hit cut on a flood and not have to burn a bunch of fuel with an ebb tide. I would suspect this cut would be pretty challenging hitting it on an ebb with opposing wind. It was pretty calm outside the cut, but the waves really turned up inside the cut (on the Bahamas Bank Side)

Before sailing to BVIs and San Juan on my friend's boat, we put my dinghy on the deck and outboard stored away. Two of us did that but when I got back, it was just me to put it back in the water. The time lapse misses some of the bug wind gusts that made the dinghy hard to manage. Getting the dinghy in the water wasn't so bad but the outboard was tough. It's pretty heavy and we stored it in an awkward spot for one person to get it out. But everything worked out in the end.
