Life on the coast of Maine can be challenging - rough seas, rugged shoreline, extreme weather. Our vessels are built to withstand everything mother nature can throw at us. When the USGS came to us looking for a survey vessel for their Woods Hole operations, our fabrication division was up to the task, and delivered a vessel built to handle the agency’s important and challenging work. This 26’ aluminum vessel was launched this summer as part of our growing fleet of workboats. The first week for the season ending frosties regatta at SLYC was sailed under grey skies with big breeze. The crew on the Sigma 33 Squawk had a close cross with he Nicholson 43 Magdalene while running downwind on the final run of race number 2. The team at bottom up boats hope you are enjoying the footage from the final regatta of the 2024 sailing season.
