I was watching one of those videos about how to be healthier, happier, more productive by a beautiful American. As so often, they were pontificating on the things that are essential parts of a daily routine. One of the most popular trends for that at the moment is how essential it is to go outside first thing in the morning and get 10 minutes of sunlight. Clearly, they have never lived in North Wales (or Manchester where we ere before). We are now living aboard our Rival 38 Centre Cockpit full-time while finishing a refit so we can launch ASAP. The Stevedore's knot is a powerful stopper knot, like a super-charged Figure of Eight knot. 🔸 Make an overhand loop like you would in the figure-of-eight. Bring the working end round a couple of times instead of one (or just twist the loop) and tuck it through the original loop. Tighten Voilà! Easy!
