En la costa, la masa de aire que está inmediatamente encima del mar, es capaz de mantener su temperatura mucho más estable que la masa de aire que está inmediatamente encima de tierra. En las primeras horas de la mañana, notaremos como una brisa y a veces un viento moderado sopla de tierra al mar. Por el contrario, hacia el mediodía, esta brisa soplar del mar a tierra, no sin antes haberse observado una calma total. Este viento que sopla de fuera trae humedad del mar, haciendo a veces, que tengamos mala visibilidad y hasta hacernos vivir episodios de niebla.
