As always the Cork 1720's were out in force for Volvo Cork Week 2024 this orange kite followed Going to Red the majority of the way down the run after rounding the top mark With over 100 boats on the start line everyone was fighting for air shortly after the start, with the tide coming in all day it paid to get right early to find both clear air and some relief from the stronger tide out in the main channel. On the way back in the trick was to find the deepest part of the channel to ensure you were in maximum tide to increase your speed over ground. Dream Yacht Charter and She Captain organized an event in May at our Stockholm base to help 25 women develop their docking skills. She Captain has 3,000 members and works to build confidence among women sailors by transferring the skills of more experienced women through online support and events, such as flotillas.
