This is Mayhem, Raja Ampat. Named after the chaotic show that's put on when the pelagics come in to hunt the schooling fish on a strong current. There is a great abundance of marine life on the site, and the stronger the current, the more fish life there will be! Schools of Fusilier, Batfish, Snappers, Sweetlips, and even Bumphead Parrotfish can be seen here. Instead of antifouling, we polish our prop to keep it clean and efficient. The process? Scrape off barnacles Dissolve calcium buildup with acid Polish with progressively finer compounds for a smooth finish ✨ Finally, we grease the prop, add a fresh zinc anode, and apply a final coat of Brasso before launch! Note, that this depends on the condition of your propeller. If it’s really fouled or previously painted, you might need a more thorough process - like we did last year.
