Ci eravamo abituati alla morbida e alta onda lunga oceanica. Questa notte abbiamo lasciato la marina Rubicon di Lanzarote per raggiungere la marina di Las Palmas, sull’isola di Gran Canaria. Dopo poche miglia a vela il mare inizia a innervosirsi presentandoci una corta, alta e fastidiosa onda incrociata. Non riuscivi a stare in piedi! Ogni cambio turno ci si lamentava delle condizioni con chi sopraggiungeva, che a sua volta non era riuscito a dormire come avrebbe voluto. Tutto sommato la notte è comunque passata. Siamo arrivati a Las Palmas e ci siamo messi all’ancora. I prossimi giorni saranno di preparazione della barca per la traversata. Adesso andiamo a dormire presto per recuperare le ore dormite poco e male questa notte. Buona befana a tutti! Andrea

It is estimated that 8 million tons of plastic pollute the Ocean each year – that’s a truck full of plastic produced every minute. We cannot deny that something is changing. If we continue this way, by 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish (in weight). The good news is – it’s not too late!
