We worked with Outremer in France (with the help of Google Translate) to launch our boat project and start our journey as sailing vagabonds. While it's not a race or speed test, we are doing our first Bluewater crossing this year and we are excited to see AWEN stretch her legs and dance on the water. For years the Filicudi WildLife Conservation Association has been involved in research applied to the conservation of cetaceans and sea turtles in the Aeolian Archipelago. A lot of the work is the outcome of the incredible collaboration with public and private research institutions and many Italian universities. In this video we see how the Filicudi Wildlife Conservation Association is helping with the protection and preservation of turtles in the Aeolian Archipelago, the freeing of turtle Pirilla.
