Socorro diaries. "This trip has been the ultimate adventure. I love the fact that we can entirely unplug and venture out to remote islands, where there is so much life hidden below the surface! From the surface, the islands of San Benedicto, Socorro, and Roca Partida look rugged and desolate. They are totally untouched by humans and it really does feel like you've ventured off the grid. But jump beneath the surface, and it's a marine playground. Throughout our 20ish dives, we saw the most incredible life. We played with Mantas, swam with schools of hammerheads, and searched for octopus in the coral. The fact that the areas are protected means these creatures get BIG! They aren't afraid of humans and are curious to check us out. This really is the trip of a lifetime, and the crew makes us feel so at home.
