Before tacking you can see my forward hand sliding up the sheet clearing about 6 feet of the tail between the main block and the ankle knots. The sheet is placed quickly and neatly on my lap. We made an awesome cockpit enclosure for out sailing yacht so we could protect our kids from sun, rain and wind. It also holds some huge solar panels. It adds comfort and safety when sailing and looks great too.

SUV runs into light pole at T with stoplight, not sure in this area how this would happen, you are on a 40 MPH side road that meets a T. Don't know how much you can see, but they really hit the pole hard, the lights at the top of the pole fell, and the SUV caved in most of their hood.

Tie it in the centre of a line when you need a loop and you can't easily get to either end. 🔸 It makes a good hoist if you have to lower or raise someone, with one loop the seat and the other under the armpits and around the chest. The loops should not slip and it shouldn't jam after strain. 🔸 With a doubled up rope, make a small overhand loop as you would in a Bowline.
