On May 21, 2023, I will turn 80. I plan to do a celebratory cruise in my sailboat “Carlita” around the whole of the Pamlico Sound. A distance of 500 nautical miles. It has been just over 10 years since I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. I never expected to make it to 80, let alone still have the desire or feel fit enough to attempt this cruise. I believe that Rock Steady Boxing has played a big part in that. I thought it would be good to try to give something back. Using the Zenmuse Z30 to do a line of sight assessment for doing antenna pointing before erecting a 15m antenna mount. The zoom capability is amazing, the tents in the final shot were 6.5km as the crow flies from where we were flying the drone. If you're wondering what the red arrow is, it's the location the other team placed their antenna, behind the tree! Clearly it was a bad placement, and with the photos we took we could show them that.

Join us on a spirited sailing adventure from Ragged Island to George Town, Bahamas on a Nautitech 46 Open catamaran. We had an awesome week down in the Raggeds. We had East winds for the entire week, allowing for some pretty fun sailing....for all but the last day when we sailed to Flamingo Cay to the south side of Hog Cut. It's important to pay attention to how the Raggeds bend to the east! We didn't and ended up needing to tack up to Hog Cut....best to make the trip if the winds are greater than 110º or more. #sailinglife #catamaransailing #nautitech46open

The shallow areas of the reef at Sawandarek are super healthy and very fishy. You can see schools of sweetlips among a lot of other marine life.
