Sailing through Stewart island, at the bottom of New Zealand, we came across a cage diving boat, who was chumming the water for their clients. We tied to the back of them and saw 5-7 great whites circling our boats. What happened next was CRAZY! Shortly after the start of Race 2 of the 2024 Narrow Regatta the J109 going to read was shown a clean pair of heals from a rampaging VX1 that glided by to leeward with speed. The further the VX1 punched out into the middle of the narrows the more left to right of tide she picked up, allowed her to put and and front and disappear do the the race track.
