For years the Filicudi WildLife Conservation Association has been involved in research applied to the conservation of cetaceans and sea turtles in the Aeolian Archipelago. A lot of the work is the outcome of the incredible collaboration with public and private research institutions and many Italian universities. In this video we see how the Filicudi Wildlife Conservation Association is helping with the protection and preservation of turtles in the Aeolian Archipelago, the freeing of turtle Pirilla. Thanks also to the help of the Capitaneria di Porto di Lipari for the continuous support in freeing sea turtles in distress! Have a great life Pirilla! Since our first visit, Cumberland Island has become the “magical” or “enchanting” place on the ICW. And how lucky are we to be able to visit it by private vessel? We enjoy exploring all parts of the island, from the trails and marsh to the beaches and mansion ruins, but it’s the wildlife and remoteness that keeps us wanting to come back. Words and pictures cannot describe the experience as you immerse yourself under the canopy of mossy oaks while hearing the chirps of birds, the whinnying of horses, and the rustling leaves made by the armadillos.
