Incredible discovery whilst I was free diving off the coast of South Africa so lucky to find this jelly fish and get a close up of how it moves in the water and the beautiful colours it has on display. Free diving is an incredible hobby of mine and has taken me to places all across the globe. I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to see so many sea creatures up close. . . . . New Zealand is one of my favorite, if not my favorite, places to travel. Back in 2017 I spent five months there spearfishing and freediving throughout the entire country. Exploring not just on land, but under the sea as well was an amazing experience. The kelp forests were especially fun to dive through. Here you see me diving in the Coromandel Peninsula. After finding a cool rock formation, I knew I had to dive down and see what was underneath. Although there was no fish, it was still an amazing freedive and one that I'll never forget! . . Yellowfin grouper are my absolute favorite reef fish to spear in the Bahamas. And this was my first one. An absolutely delicious fish with a hell of a fight on it. It was great getting to spend a little time away from everyone spearfishing during covid in the Bahamas to get away from it all. . .
